Job Description:

Body Shop Estimator

The Body Shop Estimator examines damaged vehicles for dents, scratches, broken glass, and other areas requiring repair, replacement, or repainting. They estimate the cost of repairing damaged automobile and truck bodies, on basis of visual inspection of vehicle and familiarity with standard parts, costs, and labor rates. 
The ideal candidate has some post-secondary automotive training and at least two years of dealer-level or large facility experience. They have an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record and a strong technical and customer service performance record.  
Computer skills are required. A certification or designation in the field of automotive repair is a plus.

Responsibilities 

  • Estimates the cost of repairing damaged vehicles, on the basis of a visual inspection and familiarity with parts, costs, and labor rates.
  • Examines damaged vehicles to determine feasibility and costs of repair or replacement of parts
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations of parts
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Requirements 

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Two years of automotive experience preferred
  • Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Highly professional and dependable
